Female Defender Initiative (FDI) was created to support and strengthen the community of women serving in Air Force Security Forces career field.
Security Forces is a demanding profession that requires strength, discipline, and resilience, and women serving in this field bring valuable leadership, perspective, and capability to the mission every day. FDI exists to ensure that those strengths are supported, developed, and amplified.
Through mentorship, leadership development, and meaningful connection, IgniteFDI provides a space where women defenders can learn from one another, share experiences, and grow together both professionally and personally.
